[Untitled All-Cryo Zine] is an unofficial Genshin Impact fanzine celebrating all things Cryo in the world of Teyvat, as we finally make our way to Snezhnaya.At this time we are uncertain what the scope of the project will be, and whether it is digital or physical, along with other details, will depend on the results of the interest check.This zine will hold an application period to determine the contributor lineup. Acceptance will be based on skill alone; applicant follow counts will not be a factor in any decision to accept anyone for participation.Any hopeful participants will need to have a Discord account, as communication will take place in a dedicated project server. We are aware of Discord's age verification threats, and rest assured we hate them, but for the time being we feel it is unreasonable to expect everyone to move to a new platform preemptively. Should it become necessary to relocate, contingencies are in place.All works submitted for the zine MUST be new, unpublished works created for the zine, and MUST be the creator's original work. No contributions made using generative AI will be accepted, and anyone who is openly supportive of or uses generative AI in their creative processes will NOT be welcome in this project. Any application portfolio containing works made utilizing generative AI will be instantly rejected.During the creation, preorder, production, and distribution stages, contributors may not share, produce, or sell their completed works publicly; cropped works will be shared as previews at various stages. Contributors will retain all rights to their individual designs and will be permitted to share complete works associated with the zine one month after the project is formally wrapped.We ask that all applicants be at least 18 years of age at the time they apply. Anyone over 18 is welcome to apply, and no one will be turned away based on race, location, lifestyle, or the topics and themes they create or engage with in fictional spaces. However, we will not tolerate those who have demonstrated aggressive or otherwise inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to hatespeech, racism, any manner of queerphobia or gender-critical ideology, harassment, or openly advocating for censorship in any form. Anyone who has visibly behaved in such a manner will be barred from participation.

❅What is a zine?❅
A zine is a collaborative project based around a particular theme or topic, usually made up of art and written works, and formatted like a book. Fandom zines are unofficial projects in celebration of an IP and its characters, relationships, or other relevant subject matter, and projects that are made into physical books often also include merch items such as prints, keychains, and stickers in addition to a book.❅What is the theme of this zine?❅
This zine will focus on all things Cryo in the world of Genshin Impact. This includes both playable characters and NPCs, as well as enemy mobs, boss creatures, and Cryo-aligned natural phenomena. From crystalflies and mist flowers, to slimes and whopperflowers, to Abyss Mages, Andrius, and The Tsaritsa herself, we want to celebrate the element of Cryo in all its forms.Should the interest check indicate a desire for a specific secondary theme, this information may be updated at that time.❅Will this zine feature any shipping or NSFW content?❅
No. This project will be entirely SFW, with no NSFW content or NSFW add-ons. While participants will be encouraged to include more than one character in their contributions, no overtly romantic imagery will be accepted in the final product.❅Will there be mod applications?❅
No. We have a fully assembled modteam and are not looking for additional help at this time.❅Will there be contributor applications?❅
Yes! Anyone interested in participating in this zine will need to submit an application within the allotted time frame. All applications should reflect what the applicant feels is their best work in the style they plan to use for their contribution, and portfolios will be juried based on creativity, technical skill, and understanding of the characters and scenarios represented. Follower count or influencer status will not have any bearing on anyone's acceptance.❅What can be contributed?❅
We will be accepting page illustrations, comics, and fanfiction for this project, as well as merch designs to be produced, interest-willing. Exact merch types will be determined once contributors are chosen and onboarded. We are also open to more uncommon contribution types, such as cosplay photos, craft items, musical compositions, etc, though how many of these, if any, will be featured in the final product will depend on the number and quality of any applications received.❅Can I apply with or submit works made with generative AI?❅
Absolutely Not. No works made utilizing generative AI will be accepted. All application samples, portfolio pieces, and contributions for this project must be the creator's own original work, done the old fashioned way: exhumed from your brain with a lake dredge and beaten into submission with your own hands. Any applications or portfolios determined to contain AI-generated works will be immediately rejected, and no contributions made with generative AI will be accepted in the finished zine.❅Can I apply for more than one role?❅
Yes, however we may not be able to accommodate contributors fulfilling more than one role.❅How many contributors will be accepted?❅
This will depend on the results of the interest check, and the number and quality of applications we receive.❅Will other characters be included?❅
All contributions will focus on at least one Cryo character, monster, or other phenomenon. Other characters and creatures may also be present, but only in secondary/support/background roles.❅Will the zine include AUs?❅
No. Contributions are expected to be compliant with the current setting and timeline that the IP has established. Creativity in patching holes in the narrative is encouraged, but alternate histories, Vision swaps, or other significant deliberate deviations from canon events and established lore will not be accepted.❅What language will the zine be in?❅
All correspondence, social media updates, fanfiction contributions, and any comic text will be in English.❅Is this zine physical or digital? Will it be free, for charity, or for profit?❅
The scope of this project will depend on the results of the interest check. Interest-willing, we hope to produce a physical book with optional merch package to offer for sale. Should that be the case, all funds in excess of production and distribution costs will be donated to charity. A specific charity has not yet been chosen, however we plan to support an organization providing aid to Ukraine.❅How will contributors be compensated?❅
Should the zine be produced as a physical product, and should sales allow, we hope to be able to offer participants a free full bundle. Whether this will be feasible will depend on how preorders go. If we are unable to provide this compensation for free, contributors may have the option to obtain the items at no cost but pay for shipping, or at the very least will be able to purchase items at production cost + shipping. All participants will be given access to the full digital zine package upon completion, regardless of any other circumstances.❅Are you affiliated with the previous Cryo Zine?❅
No. We are a completely separate project with no direct ties or connections to the 2021 Cryo Zine. No one from that zine is part of the team creating this one, nor did that project inspire the inception of this one in any way.
